People who buy high performance audio products don’t like to hear about the so-called “lifestyle” products, so we won’t call the Vienna Acoustics Schönberg Series models “lifestyle” products. However, if you are a lover of music and/or home cinema and you want great sounding loudspeakers that are compact and that add a touch of style and grace to your décor, then the Schönberg Series may be exactly what you are looking for.

The graceful lines and compact cabinets are more than just for looks. Rendered in aluminum, the cabinet walls are precisely shaped to optimize resonance control and to prevent standing waves within the cabinets. The rigidity of the aluminum itself is also superior in its ability to let the music shine through.

Peter Gansterer and his team have hit a home run with the Schönberg Series. Perhaps they offer the perfect sound, size, and price for your music system.

Our passion for music is derived from our surroundings – the concert venues, jazz clubs and dance halls. While music is our passion, attaining the sonic results in all of our products is the result of painstaking technical research. For over twentyfive years, Vienna Acoustics has been hand crafting our speakers in Vienna, Austria. While others take pictures, we listen.

In a crowded field of like products, we have created our own unique, hand crafted architectural line of products: The Strauss Series™. Like all of our other products, this new series features old world craftsmanship with new world technologies guaranteeing true High-End performance with superior quality. To assure this, we build each product carefully by hand in Vienna, Austria. We know of no other way. While each of the models within this new series are designed to be hidden within a wall or ceiling, the beauty they each exhibit will beg for them to be left out for all to see. Taking advantage of our proprietary in house technologies, we have created this first product of our new Strauss Series™ architectural products. The new In-Waltz model uses a pair our patented Spider-Cone™ woofers mated with our proprietary large silk-dome tweeter. These drivers are all housed in a sealed aluminum cabinet with a high gloss, piano lacquer front baffle. The baffle has additionally been beveled to insure optimum placement with the appropriate angling to insure the great musical presentation expected from all of our loudspeakers. The grill has also been carefully designed to offer the most transparent effect while retaining the symbolic V-Groove aesthetic of our famed Concert Grand Series™ all while being paintable.

Why Principal? Strength, power and beauty: principal refers technically to the most pure of sounds from an organ; that which is not an imitation of other instruments. Following with this traditional definition, the Principal Grand subwoofer should never be confused with a woofer but rather is built as an example of the truest form of Sub-Woofer.

Together with the dual front bass-reflex ports, this configuration provides an increase in dynamic capabilities necessitated by the demands of more sophisticated theater systems in larger settings.

We complement these drivers with our silk dome tweeter, which contributes a lot to achieve Theatro Grand ´s flawless, natural sound, which is complete in every detail.
All individual crossover components are of the highest quality, and chosen exclusively by listening tests. As a result our designs feature exclusive hand-picked capacitors, and metal-oxyd-film resistors with less than 1% tolerance are chosen for their freedom from inductance.

These capabilities, coupled with Theatro Grand ´s carefully handcrafted, elegantly slender cabinet finished in true piano black lacquer, allows this speaker to be used in virtually any system for exemplary results.

Being the hardest working speaker in a surround system, the quality level of a center channel is of major importance to a system.

Film sound springs to life from the Maestro Grand with a naturalness and intensity to match any of the Vienna Acoustics Grand main speakers.

The 1” hand coated silk-dome tweeter incorporates a triple stack neodymium magnet assembly mounted within an integral decoupling iris-shaped mounting block to reduce any extraneous resonance. Housing the tweeter in this assemble allows the tweeter to be positioned above the mid-bass drivers, assuring exceptional dispersion characteristics, as well as open and effortless high frequency response.

The thoughtful chosen position of the tweeter allows to work in perfect harmony with the dual 6” mid-bass drivers, utilizing Vienna Acoustics’ proprietary Spider Cone technology, in order to offer unrestrained dynamics and unparalleled detail in giving voice to even the most sophisticated of theater systems.
